Mobile for a Lifetime

At Morris Clinic, we are rethinking physical therapy for the older adult.

Most physical therapy clinics will focus on a single problem that you have, patch you up, give you a bunch of home exercises, and discharge you.

That approach can work really well if you only have one problem and it’s new to you.

But for the rest of us with multiple chronic conditions and a lifetime of baggage, it doesn’t work so well. The problem never really goes away and self management is always harder than it appears it should be. Life happens, our bodies change, the process repeats.

It’s not that the therapists are bad or unhelpful, it’s how our current insurance-based system decides to pay for physical therapy (and healthcare in general) that dictates the way care is delivered. [Please refer to Understanding Medicare Part B and Physical Therapy for more info.]

We lead with wellness.

While we do participate with Medicare Part B, wellness services are where we shine.

People often find us after they have discharged from traditional physical therapy, but still need expert guidance and supervision to improve their health and mobility.

We don’t just give you exercises; we help you to transform into someone who is fitter, stronger, better balanced, and more independent.

Let's get moving!

Good to know.

Medicare does not cover the type of physical therapy that we pride ourselves on.

We are all about your general good and welfare, overall fitness, diversion, and general motivation!

Services that do not meet the requirements for covered therapy services in Medicare manuals are not payable using codes and descriptions as therapy services. For example, services related to activities for the general good and welfare of patients, e.g., general exercises to promote overall fitness and flexibility and activities to provide diversion or general motivation, do not constitute therapy services for Medicare purposes.
